Background: Gerard hails from Belfast, Ireland where he spent much of his youth chasing skirts and getting in trouble with the English. He met Robert during one of his stays in an English brig and the two quickly formed a friendship that has endured for over 30 years. In fact, Gerard is pretty much like a brother to the Captain and will do whatever is necessary to defend the Silver Crescents.
Over the years Gerard developed a fondness for birds, parrots specifically and is rarely seen without his trust sidekick, Pollyanna, on his shoulders. He also enjoys a good cigar and can be scene regularly chomping on his prized Cubans.
